We are very sorry to have to tell you that the Eceni Study Centre is having to close at the end of this month - August 2011. The land upon which we have built our conjectural reconstruction of Iron Age life is leased and we have recently been informed that this lease will not be renewed. This has been a great shock and a blow to us as you may imagine.

We don't as yet know what the future will hold for us, it may be that we will be able to relocate, or it may be that the Eceni will continue to survive in another form. But whatever happens, we want to thank everyone who has visited us, been involved or supported us in any way over the past few years - from the world of archaeology, museums,education, tourist information, artists and craftspeople, the general public - and many more! We deeply appreciate all your enthusiasm and we have great memories of all of you who we've met and the good friends we've made along the way. It's been a journey of discovery and learning for us and we hope that it has been the same for you too!

The website will continue in its present form for a while until we see our way forward. Please feel free to contact us and continue to watch the website - we'll keep you informed as to progress!
